Adelaide Crows star Rory Sloane has been voted the Greatest Man Alive after signing a five year deal with the club.
Sloane, who was tipped by many Victorian based journalists to be heading back to his home state at the end of the season, decided to stay at the Crows in a move that is sure to further ruin Sam McClure’s narrative that the Adelaide Football Club is Auschwitz 2.0.
Speaking exclusively to the Journal, Sloane revealed how he came to his decision.
“It was easy in the end. I love the club and I love the culture, but more importantly, Tex said that if I left I’d be out of the ALMA. There was no way I was giving up my Bingo nights.
Meanwhile, Adelaide journalist Tom Rehn has been spotted crawling out from under a rock after he sensationally claimed that Sloane was going to sign before the season began.
More to come.
