Adelaide CEO Andrew Fagan has today asked his assistant if there is any other Adelaide sports teams up for sale that can act as a distraction from the Crows shocking form.
Following the teams loss to GWS, Fagan was quick to announce that the football club had purchased the Adelaide Bite, who are apparently a professional baseball team.
But even Fagan wasn’t prepared for the performance the team would put in against an undermanned Fremantle side.
“I tell you what, I’ve been copping a few emails recently. The membership aren’t happy, and I know the only way to bounce back from this is to put a bid in on some other Adelaide sports team. Maybe the Adelaide Avalanche?
Fagan says that the distraction of buying a new team is normally the best way to keep the fanbase at bay.
“If the team is losing, I need to deliver good news. The best way to do that is to distract the fanbase by offering them a shiny new toy. Unfortunately, it’s only a matter of time before these new teams suffer the same fate of all Adelaide teams and let the fans down through several decades of underperformance.”
