In an explosive interview, rapper Lil Pump has told reporters that the Adelaide Crows young gun Jordan Gallucci was the sole inspiration for the smash hit “Gucci Gang.”
The Florida based rapper, best known for his self titled debut album, spoke exclusively to the Journal.
“Man what a lot of people don’t know about me is that I am a big time Crows fan. Like that sh*t is my life. I was born in 2000. That’s the year that Gary Ayers started coaching the Crows. It’s fate.
“When Gucci Gallucci started playing for the SANFL team, it was already over. I knew I had to write a tribute song.”
In a surprising development, fellow rapper and frequent collaborator Lil Uzi Vert has also revealed that he took his name after Gallucci broke the Vertical leap record at the Nab AFL Draft combine.
“That boy can leap!” said Mr Vert. “I’m glad he came along. Otherwise my name was going to be Lil Ian Callinan.”
The Journal reached out to legendary Atlanta trap artist Gucci Mane to ascertain whether his name was also based on Gallucci.
“Bitch it might be.”
